Journal Entry – May 29th, 2023
This dream was the continuation of a previous dream I had that night. Unfortunately, I had this dream when going back to sleep after waking up in the middle of the night, and the previous dream was not recorded. I do not remember any of the dream before this one, so there is no buildup context. Initially, I was with a blonde girl and a man wearing a black hoodie or robe. We decided to return to where the others in our group were since they were all investigating something.
Now, if you’ve ever played a Zero Escape game then you’ll understand the structure I’m about to describe. There was a group of 9 to 10 of us in total, and events would play out differently depending on what I did. I can only assume in the previous iteration of this dream, there were a few “failed” attempts. At this current point in time however, things were looking pretty good. We had opened several secret doors and were on the verge of opening the next.
The blonde girl I was with had blood all over her hands because she needed to stab herself in the hand. She did so to prove some kind of point or to send a message, but I don’t remember what. The man in the black hoodie/robe disappears at this point.
We returned to a door situated in the corner of a large courtyard. As soon as I saw it, I had a huge “I’ve been here before” feeling. One of the other guys in the group was guarding the door and told us where to go. The blonde woman and I went inside and separated. I entered a room with a door that we hadn’t opened yet and inside of that room was another woman.
She was a short, brunette woman who was initially shy but had warmed up to me over the course of the dream. We talked for a bit about what to do next. Afterwards, I began to inspect a large shelf in the corner when another woman from our group passed by the window with a sense of urgency. She looked inside and yelled at me, telling me to retrieve a specific book from the shelf. I grabbed the book she pointed out and inspected the spine, noticing what looked like gibberish for letters. In that moment though, I somehow understood that what I had found was the password, and that we still needed the username.
An old woman suddenly barged into the room and began messing around with the computer that we needed to access. The shy brunette asked her what she was doing, and the older woman replied that was “trying to figure some stuff out.” I implicitly understood that she was trying to find the username, but I didn’t say anything. I simply stared at the book I was holding with the confidence that I held the password in my hands.
